Very weird feeling when we walked in Snazz Sichuan – a bit dim but not in a romantic or stylish way – more like they’ve forgotten to pay the electricity bill. Waiters and waitresses are clueless – don’t speak much English and those guys sitting next to us were clearly confused and a bit helpless. [...]

KUNG HEY FAT CHOI! I raised this point in a few channels but I am still amazed by the subtle transition – people has been sending me Gong Xi Fa Cai or GXFC a lot more this year!! Has KHFC no future anymore? I wonder… Anyway, after this and that and that and this, dinner [...]

OMG The 3 letters sums up the experience at the 1-starred restaurant. How they earn that star I have no idea. If this is the best Chinese in London, we are all hot enough to be movie stars (although Mr P IS a star haha!). It was Chinese New Year Eve so logically we went [...]

Service was great and we always shamelessly ask for more marinated cucumber (with sesame oil, vinegar, chilies and satay [...]

Going back to one of our favourite restaurants again – Bar Shu at Soho. What’s on the menu? Szechuan hotpot with lots of beef, veggie, fish balls, meat balls and everything immersed in this red thick oil full of chili and peppercorn. What a treat for a rainy gloomy Monday.

GBP20 all you can eat Sichuan Spicy Hotpot!! Not bad for London’s standard isn’t it! not really spicy enough but learnt a new phrase – 苕子, it makes this food stuff like plastic strips, which for some reason I like a lot!!
